Winter Onions

Finally after three mild weeks our winter onions are off. These were bought from a garden centre as sets and planted in a layer of woodash spread on the raised bed. They love the potash and are really coming on. We are leaving the autumn leaves falling on the beds to rot down and give them a great start for next year.
